There was a picket on the right of way in front of the John Deere Plant
on Spears Creek Road in Pontiac, NE Richland County, SC
at the Spears Creek Church Road/Pontiac Exit of I-20

There was no incidence of violence.
Many people waved and/or honked their horns to show approval.
We almost never missed picketing Mondays & Fridays,
until the fall of 2001 when we started picketing just on Fridays.
In September we started picketing at the Lugoff Elgin High School 2:30 - 3:30 PM so we cut back the hours at John Deere to 4 - 5 PM.  During the summer we started staying later until time changed back to Standard Time.

The reason for the picket is this John Deere plant fired someone for having a Southern Cross sticker on their personal tool box & fired someone else for whistling Dixie.  Hatred of the South by John Deere, Wal-Mart & others is totally unacceptable behavior in the South.
